Today I was so lazy. I still made it out to the gym, but it wasn't the greatest of workout days. Here's why.
I put on my NEW workout clothes that I bought yesterday. Well, I should have tried the 2 pair of shorts and top on, because when I put them on this morning - they didn't fit. Okay, I guess I'll have to take them back. Bummer, because I was excited to have some new gym clothes. But that wasn't going to stop me from at least getting in the gym for a little sweating. I put on my old pair of shorts I forgot I had.
Then I got my water bottle, I-pod, and cell phone and went on my merry way. Got to the gym and no one was there, so I had the place to myself (at our apartment complex). This was a good sign. I stretched and got on the treadmill. I turned on my I-pod and oops...forgot to charge it. DEAD! Crap! I hate running without tunes. This did NOT make for a good run. Instead I turned on the TV that's in the cardio room. Trying to stay positive.
I ran for about 10 minutes and realized there was a reason I never wore the shorts I put on. They kept riding up. DAMN! How annoying to have to keep pulling them down as I ran.
When the treadmill read 20 minutes, I just couldn't go any further. This was NOT good, as I can usually easily do 40-45 with no problem. I just felt so exhausted. Not my lungs or chest but my legs and my body were like lead. Like I could lay down on the floor and sleep. Ugh! I got off and went to the bike for a little bit. I decided to scrap the weights and just go home and rest. I think maybe I just needed to be lazy today.
Tomorrow's a new day, right?
I hate when I turn my ipod on and its dead! The other day I went to the gym. I got all the way there (its about 10 minutes away) and I realized I forgot my shoes (I was wearing flip flops). I had to go all way home and then back to the gym. I had also planned on showering at the gym. But once I finally got back to the gym and started running on the TM i realized I had brought everything to shower except... a towel. haha looks like we all have those days!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the crummy workout. But you are right. Tomorrow is a new day!
